ATEX Directives - European Legislation

If your business uses equipment that may be used in potentially explosive atmospheres, then ATEX applies to you. There are two ATEX directives, both mandatory from the 1st July 2003

1. ATEX 1999/92/EC applies to companies using or manufacturing flammable materials

2. ATEX 94/9/EC applies to companies supplying equipment in hazardous conditions

Working in partnership with our Explosion Protection partners, the Forkway Group can assist you with determining the correct equipment and Zone level of cover your application needs to ensure compliance to safe working practices.
